Paco Casasola, BSc, MSc (Hons)
Music psychotherapist (HCPC),
Occupational therapist (HCPC),
Musician
My relationship with music started in my early childhood, when I undertook piano, choir and music studies at Badajoz Conservatory in Spain. Later on, I completed my degree in Occupational Therapy (University of Extremadura, 2003) and my Masters degree in Music Therapy (ISEP Madrid, 2009).
I have worked in a range of public, private and third sector organisations in the UK, Spain, and France, accompanying adults with various emotional and communicational needs. Since 2015 I work as a therapist in NHS hospitals in Bristol and Bath.
I have specialised in the treatment of trauma/PTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, depression and anxiety disorders, autistic spectrum, dementia, life transitions and group dynamics.
I am a composer and multi-instrumentalist (with a focus on piano, guitar, synthesizers and music production), and I have written and recorded original music and arrangements for over 20 years.
I love accompanying people in the process of overcoming difficult times through boosting their creativity. The process is always confidential, caring, creative and professional. I really enjoy the challenge of designing unique, creative techniques to meet my client’s needs.
I can communicate fluently in English, Spanish and French.
